  Ok, so the chef is actually from Baton Rouge. So the name of the restaurant is inaccurate. But you know, who cares, when the food tastes as good as this food does?
  
  The chef is such a gentle and kind soul who clearly gets pleasure from purple enjoying his food. It's a rare find these days, really.
  
  He plans a major renovation, with downstairs seating and a rooftop cafe. I can't wait.

  I probably had my expectations just a little too high. I had the crawfish etouffe and although it was spicy it lacked depth of flavor. It was a generous portion for the price, which was nice. The service was great. I was disappointed to find out upon arrival that they do not offer dine-in service, so be prepared to get your food to go and dine elsewhere.

  The food here is authentic and very good. Loved the beignets! Definitely fresh, ate them warm. Yum!
